I am a Writer and Storyteller focused on writing for children and inclusive arts practice. In July 2019, my first published children’s book ‘The Creatures That Live In The Forest Behind My House’ was released. This was something that I have dreamt of for a very long time and I am enjoying taking the stories within to lots of young audiences around the UK and internationally.

I facilitate innovative theatre and storytelling workshops in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland that support young people with additional support needs (ASN) and learning disabilities to develop confidence and collaborative skills whilst co-producing new theatre pieces.

I am the Lead Multi-Sensory Storytelling Facilitator for PAMIS (Promoting a More Inclusive Society) in Dumfries and Galloway training people with ASN how to develop and deliver multi-sensory stories to people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

I am a fully qualified and registered Teacher of English, Drama and Additional Support Needs and am able to work with children aged from 3 upwards. I am a PVG scheme member in respect of regulated work with children and vulnerable adults. Additionally, I am a trained Arts Award Adviser and am able to deliver several of the Arts Award qualifications.
